A message from our president

Welcome to Caldiatech™! Here, in a few short thoughts, I’d like to answer the “so what makes us different” logic for you, and talk with you about how we enhance the business environment of our clients.

In my nearly 40 years of professional experience in the software industry, I’ve seen a host of scenarios – as a customer, developer and end-user. Because of that, I am firmly convinced that there are two distinctive elements that set us apart from the crowd: Communication and Cost.

COMMUNICATION

At the root of all project successes – or lack thereof – is a clear-cut vision of the project. I’m sure we can all remember the days of the Internet’s infancy, a time when “rush to market” was the prevailing logic. Unfortunately, that approach led to a host of system problems.

It is not unusual for a client to come to us with a project that was never fully developed by their original provider, is buggy or fell out of budget and time-frames for the planned delivery date. In most instances, lack of communication on behalf of the provider was the culprit.

The Caldiatech™ approach means no detail is too small to cover on the front-end. Before the first line of code is written on any project, we take the time to make sure that the most finite of details is covered so that a client’s needs are satisfied.

Whether we start from “napkin drawings” and go through standard SRS phases or jump right into prototyping and OCDs, we make sure we map out – to the nth degree – the very essence of the system. Then, and only then, can everyone: client, project manager, team leader and coders – understand the timelines, vision and the end goal for the development.

While our process is rigorous one, we view it as a necessity. Once the real work begins, we can be as certain as possible that the project will be delivered on time and within budget.

COST

By using both local and advanced offshore facilities we are typically able to keep our client fees lower than they would see at standard U.S. rates. This means we can consistently deliver high-quality programming and project management…usually at savings of 20% to 30% of overall costing.

More importantly, this arrangement means our work environment is operating 24/7 year round. The end result: a quicker turn-around time on most software projects. Clients are often amazed at our turnaround once all the due-diligence has been achieved and the actual job begins.
